How to get clean and dryer compressed air
Step #1
Air Filters

Air Filters
The first step to ensure cleaner air is by the integration of air filters in your air compressor system. It should be installed upstream from all working devices in such a way that it cannot be bypassed to eliminate impurities that will inevitably make their way into your air distribution lines.

Features / Advantages:
  • Allows clean air to flow freely thus improving efficiency and longevity of your air tools.
  • Excellent water removal efficiency.
  • Helps to prevent damage of downstream equipment such as valve/fitting parts, pneumatic tools and machinery.
  • Available in 40 micron, 5-micron element, they are effective at capturing solid larger particles like dust, dirt and debris from the compressed air.

Step #2
Option #1: Refrigerated Air Dryer

Refrigerated Air Dryer

The second step to ensure cleaner air is by the integration of a desiccant or refrigerated air dyer with your air compressor system.

Depending on your application one may be better for you than the other.

Refrigerated air dryers are well-suited for general industrial applications where achieving a specific level of dryness is sufficient. They are more energy-efficient in conditions where moderate dew points are acceptable.

Option #2: Desiccant Air Dryer

Desiccant Air Dryer

Desiccant Air Dryers are often used when extremely low dew points are required, such as in applications where preventing freezing or meeting stringent moisture level standards is crucial.

Step #3
Coalescing Air filters

The third step to ensure cleaner air is by the integration of coalescing air filters with your air compressor system.
Coalescing Air filters

  • .3 micron element removes 99.97% of oil and water aerosols.
  • Highly effective at capturing liquid droplets and tiny particles that may be present in the compressed air stream.
  • Multi-stage design, including a pre-filter section for larger particles and a coalescing element for finer particles.

Initial Cost ($$) ($)
Maintenance Costs Low($)
  • Fan, heat exchanger and motor inspection
  • Condensate drain maintenance
Simpler design and fewer components = less frequent maintenance!
Moderate ($$)
  • Filter replacement
  • General inspection and cleaning
  • Bead drying
More components = more frequent maintenance.
Operational Costs Low ($)
  • Minimal electricity consumption
  • They do not use compressed air for regeneration = lower air consumption
Moderate to High ($$-$$$)
  • Beads replacement
